Does POWERSPORT come with a CTEK Cig Plug accessory?

No, CONNECT Cig Plug is an accessory available at most well-equipped car accessory shops. POWERSPORT comes with 6 mm diameter CONNECT Eyelet M6 eyelets, as well as CONNECT Clamps. You can also use INDICATOR Cig Plug.
What do you mean by POWERSPORT? 

POWERSPORT vehicles are defined as sport-related motor vehicles where the driver is exposed to the elements, such as motorcycles, jet skis, quadbikes & snowmobiles. Minimize

How do I connect POWERSPORT to vehicles without a 12 V outlet?  Minimize

Batteries installed in vehicles should be connected according to the user manual. Connect the positive clamp (or eyelet) to the battery's positive pole (or positive charger terminal), and the negative clamp (or eyelet) to the chassis (or negative charger terminal). With a free-standing battery, connect the positive clamp to the positive pole and the negative clamp to the negative pole. Then connect the power cable to the power outlet. Select the required programme by pressing the Mode button, and the first light, "Check" shows. Charging is now underway.

Can I use POWERSPORT with my moped?  Minimize

Yes, you can use POWERSPORT to both charge and maintain the charge in any vehicle with 5-25 Ah 12 V lead-acid batteries. If you have the POWERSPORT charger with the lithium mode you can also charge and maintain any 12V lithium (12V LiFePO4) vehicle battery (from 5 to 25 Ah).

Can I charge my gel or AGM battery with POWERSPORT?  Minimize

Yes. If your charger has an AGM mode, select this and if not, use Normal mode.

Does POWERSPORT have a temperature sensor?  Minimize

No.

Can I charge my lithium battery with POWERSPORT?  Minimize

If you have the POWERSPORT charger with the lithium mode you can also charge and maintain any 12V lithium (12V LiFePO4) vehicle battery (from 5 to 25 Ah).

Can you charge a lead acid battery with the Lithium mode?  Minimize

No - CTEK recommend the correct charge mode be used at all times.

Can I connect a POWERSPORT for long-term maintenance?  Minimize

Yes, you can. When the charger has completed charging, it switches automatically to long-term maintenance (Care).

I have charged my lead acid battery with the lithium mode. Have I ruined the battery?  Minimize

The battery will not be ruined but it will not be fully charged.

Can I use lithium for lead acid and vice versa? Minimize

No - CTEK recommend the correct charge mode be used at all times.

Can I charge my ride-on lawnmower with POWERSPORT?  Minimize

Yes, you can use POWERSPORT to charge and maintain any 12V lead-acid vehicle battery (from 5 to 25 Ah). If you have the POWERSPORT charger with the lithium mode you can also charge and maintain any 12V lithium (12V LiFePO4) vehicle battery (from 5 to 25 Ah).

Is POWERSPORT a simpler charger than the MXS 5.0? It has only three lights while the MXS 5.0 has eight.  Minimize

No. Both chargers contain an eight-stage charging programme, but they show this differently. On the MXS 5.0 a light shows for every step, and the voltage and power curve is shown above and below the lights. On the POWERSPORT we've chosen to reduce the number of lights and instead just show which phase the charger is currently in – Check, Charge or Care. However, MXS 5.0 is a more powerful charger than POWERSPORT.

How do I connect POWERSPORT to vehicles with a 12 V outlet?  Minimize

If the vehicle has an open 12 V outlet, you can connect the charger first to the vehicle's 12 V outlet, and then to the power socket, before selecting the correct mode.

Can I charge my car battery with POWERSPORT?  Minimize

POWERSPORT is for batteries between 5 and 25 Ah in size. Car batteries are usually larger than this. We therefore recommend a larger charger for car batteries.
